Bulk Ingredient Control

V5 Bulk Ingredient Control System precisely tracks high volume, bulk, dry or liquid ingredients in mixed or separate lots for finished batches.

It ensures traceability in automatic bulk ingredient transfers from silos and tanks to mixers, preventing extensive recall situations.

SG Systems offers adaptable communication with PLC Systems. For instance, when a PLC moves an ingredient from a Silo to a hopper for mixing, this transfer is digitally recorded, removing the need for paper records.

This traceability software seamlessly integrates with existing PLCs, either at a high or low level, using different communication methods based on the current or preferred setup.

Statistical Process Control

V5 Statistical Process Control System (SPC) facilitates sample checkweighing of WIP and finished products for quality assurance and precise weight trend monitoring.

This easy-to-use system enables weighing and charting of samples, with an optional connection to the divider/filler for batch standard deviation control. Non-compliant samples trigger warnings and document corrective steps.

Operators and managers receive alerts for non-standard weight trends (either too low or too high) or significant standard deviation, thanks to adjustable weight limits.

Features include average weight, minimum weight, and tailored sampling routines. Statistical sampling effectively minimizes waste, enhances quality control, and reduces product returns.

Product & Pallet Labeling

V5 Product Labeling System ensures accurate and consistent identification of finished products, directly linked to the batches produced and packaging inventory.

It offers multiple activation modes: push button for one label at a time, manual entry for bulk printing, or PLC-triggered for operations like tray stacking or case erecting.

The ERP Traceability operates either independently (using date/time and line number for product identification) or fully integrated with the manufacturing process (printing traceable batch numbers).

SSCC Pallet labels are available for identifying pallet contents and location. Pallet Management traceability software enables editing, merging, deleting, and splitting of pallets.

Laboratory Testing (LIMS)

V5 LIMS System ensures product compliance by mandating quarantine of selected MES batches and products until processing results are verified.

• Ensures all tests align with product specifications.
• Managing the approval of materials when multiple samples and approvals are needed.

API’s

V5 Connect is an optional module designed to expedite electronic data exchange between different software systems, such as customer ERP/Accounting and V5 Traceability. This module facilitates paperless traceability.

• Reduces human errors linked to manual traceability paperwork, supporting Inventory, Production, Formulas (BOMs), Sales Orders, and Purchase Orders.
• Prevents ERP/Accounting software from operating without proper data visibility, a frequent cause of unaccounted losses and inaccurate production data.

V5 Connect typically manages CSV/XML files located in a shared server space, either Windows or Unix-based. Custom APIs are developed as required, utilizing JSON/web services, and SQL read/write capabilities are also available.
