Sales Orders

Summary

This screen helps you to create, update and fulfill sales orders raised within the system.

Button Help

Adds a Sales Order to the list (upper panel) and adds a Commodity to the list (lower panel).

Deletes a Sales Order from the list (upper panel) and removes a Commodity to the list (lower panel).

Exports a CSV file with the table view contents (opens in Excel).  Applies to the Sales Order list (upper) & the Commodity list (lower).

Search Assist

Type into the box and the system will search automatically based on the menu selection to the right (click and use the pull down to select which column to search). Delete the text to remove the search.

Column Help – Upper Panel

Order Number

This is the Sales Order number stored against the SO, this is generated automatically but can be modified by double clicking on the cell.

Customer

This displays what Customer the Order is going to be shipped to. The customer can be selected by double clicking on the cell and selecting a drop down menu.

Delivery Date

This displays the Date of when the Sales Order is going to be shipped to site. This can be changed by double clicking on the cell and selecting from a calendar.

Reference Number

This displays the Sales Order Ref, it can be changed by doubling clicking on the cell.

Status

These are the different Statuses that a Sales Order can have:

  • Created. This is the status of the Sales Order when it has been created in the system.
  • Scheduled. This is the status of the Sales Order when it has been scheduled down to the WMS program. To schedule the Sales Order, right click on the line and hit Schedule.
  • In Progress. Indicates that some stock has been picked for this order but it is yet to be completed.
  • Awaiting Verification. The order has now had all the stock picked and needs verifying by a supervisor.
  • Awaiting Shipping. The order has been completed and is now waiting to be picked up for delivery.
  • Shipped. This status is displayed when the Sales Order has been shipped

Instructions

This is for any Instructions that you may need to add against the Sales Order, you can edit this cell by double clicking on it.

Created By

This field displays the name of the User who created the Sales Order.

Date Placed

This displays the Date in which the Order was placed, it can be changed by double clicking on the cell and selecting a Date from a calendar.

Delivery Address

This displays the address stored against the Customer, if the customer has more than one address then it can be changed by double clicking on the cell and selecting from a drop down menu.

Invoice Address

This is the address the invoice will be sent to if different from the delivery address.

Shipper No

This displays the Shipper Number, this is automatically generated.

Item

Details of the first order line, helping pinpoint the correct sales order without having to select each one to view what was been ordered.

Broker

Displays which broker is to be used to help deliver the order.

Carrier

Displays the carrier which is to be used to delivery the order.

Freight Terms

Details the terms of delivery for this sales order.

Column Help – Lower Left Panel

Commodity Code

Displays the Code of the Commodity that is assigned against the Sales Order, you can select a different Commodity by double clicking on the field and selecting from a drop down menu.

Commodity Description

This is the Name of the Commodity, it is decided upon by the Commodity selected in the Code column.

Quantity

This is the quantity required for the selected Commodity and is the quantity that will need to be shipped.

Price

This is the cost of the Commodity in which it would be sold, this can be changed by double clicking on the cell.

Notes

This is for any Notes that you may need to add against the Commodity, you can edit this cell by double clicking on it.

Column Help – Lower Right Panel

Item

This displays the Code of the Commodity that has been assigned to the Sales Order.

Lot No

This is the Lot Number of the Stock item assigned to the Sales Order.

Quantity

This displays how much of the Stock item that has been assigned to the item.

User

This displays the User that assigned the item.

Timestamp

This is the date and time in which the item was assigned.

Keyboard Controls

Moves cell down.

Moves cell right.

Hold down to select multiple rows.

Cancels transaction.

Edit Cell
