V5 Traceability for Process Manufacturing

From Food & Beverage to Pharma & Biotech

S.G. Systems supports regulated manufacturing teams with software that strengthens controlled execution and produces attributable evidence outputs suitable for review, release, and investigation. For leadership structure and oversight approach, see Leadership & Governance.

Mission statement What we exist to deliver for regulated operations.

Our mission is to help regulated manufacturers execute work correctly, consistently, and with attributable evidence. We focus on controlled workflows that reduce execution risk during the work itself, produce defensible records as a natural byproduct of execution, and support effective review, release, and investigation without reconstruction.

In practice, this means aligning MES, QMS, and WMS activity to defined procedures and documented controls so that quality requirements are enforced in-flow, exceptions are captured when they occur, and evidence outputs reflect the actual sequence of events.

Controlled execution Controls that govern what can happen next, not just what gets recorded.

In regulated environments, the most meaningful control is what the process permits or prevents during execution. Our design intent is to support sequential work with defined checkpoints and to capture exceptions at the time of occurrence.

  • Guided steps aligned to procedures, with required inputs and checks where configured
  • Deviation/variance captured when it occurs to reduce later reconstruction risk
  • Records structured to support review-by-exception, not repeated manual reconciliation
Configuration matters: Actual control sets depend on intended use, customer SOPs, configuration choices, and validation activities.
Data integrity and attributable evidence Evidence linked to the event and workflow step, reducing transcription and timing risk.

Regulatory review often concentrates on whether records are complete, attributable, and consistent with the procedure. Our intent is to support attributable actions and defensible evidence trails, with evidence captured at source and associated to the workflow step where it occurred.

  • Attribution and timing associated with actions where enabled and configured
  • Evidence captured at point of execution to reduce transcription, timing drift, and missing context
  • Audit trail structures that support review and investigation workflows
Evidence outputs and traceability Outputs intended to support audits, investigations, and release decisions without rebuilding the story.

Traceability is only as strong as its speed and clarity under pressure. Our intent is to provide evidence outputs that help teams answer “where used / where shipped” questions quickly and support investigations using consistent record structures.

  • Batch / lot documentation outputs designed for review and retention
  • Trace-back / trace-forward reporting structures to support response timelines
  • Genealogy views intended to support investigation and disposition decisions
Supplier posture for regulated use Due diligence artifacts and validation-minded delivery expectations.

Customers operating under regulated requirements typically qualify suppliers and validate systems for intended use. We support that posture by providing standard due diligence artifacts and by aligning delivery practices with validation-minded teams.

  • Supplier quality alignment and responsibilities (SQA)
  • Service boundaries, responsibilities, and terms (MSA)
  • Validation approach guidance aligned to GAMP 5 principles
  • Integration controls via the V5 Connect layer (where applicable)
